The big story on Wall Street this week was the release of the Costco Wholesale Corporation (COST) Q4 2026 earnings report. This Wealthy Investor favorite once again delivered good news.
Here’s what you need to know:
Total Q4 revenue came in at $95.72 billion, up 11% year-over-year.
Net sales for the quarter increased 11.2% to $93.9 billion.
Same store sales increased 9% year-over-year
Paid memberships rose 4.1% to $82.9 million and renewal rates were above 90% in North America.
Costco also saw strong gains in its online business, as digitally-enabled comparable sales grew 19.5%. What makes this figure even more remarkable is that Walmart achieved these gains without the massive investment in infrastructure, like Amazon. Instead the company focused on better fulfillment, faster delivery, and a more reliable website. These improvements along with partnerships with DoorDash and Instacart have made a significant impact in Costco’s digital experience, which has typically been an area in which they lagged.
Figures for the complete 52-week fiscal year 2026 were outstanding, with net sales up 10.1% to $297.2 billion and digitally-enabled comparable sales up by 20.9%.
Because of Costco’s ability to raise their revenue consistently, the stock price has gone from around $448 per share 5 years ago, to today’s price of around $920 per share.
I think holding shares of Costco makes an outstanding long-term investment.
